Donations and Bequests

Making a donation or leaving a bequest to ECH is just one way you can assist and support our ongoing work as a 'not-for-profit' charitable Association in the area of aged care. We have been providing services for the past 37 years, thanks in part to the assistance and generosity of a great many people during this time. Some people have made a bequest to ECH as a way of saying thank you. Others have seen it as a natural extension of their support for ECH in their lifetime.
We do not telemarket or doorknock, but we do rely greatly on the public’s generosity.

Policy changes in the 1990’s led to funding from Australian government sources being limited to contributions to direct care for Residents and clients. We need your support more than ever to carry on upgrading and building the best facilities possible and continue to improve on outstanding residential and community care services.

We were fortunate to receive a bequest of over $650,000 from a non ECH resident in 2000, but it doesn’t matter how large or small, your donation or bequest to ECH will make a lasting contribution to the lives of Residents in Care or other services we provide, now and into the future.

If you wish to confidentially discuss making a bequest to ECH or would like some more information, please write to Mr Rob Hankins, Chief Executive or call 08 8407 5151 and we would be please to meet with you to discuss your wish further.

Please consider making a bequest to help us continue our valuable work. Or if you wish, you can help us today with a tax-deductable donation. Either way your support will assist in the care of many of our ageing population.

To make a bequest you can consult your legal advisor or simply include the wording below in your will:

“I give ECH Inc the sum of …….. (or …….. percent of my residual estate) to be paid free of all duty, and I direct that the receipt of ECH be accepted as a sufficient discharge for the same.”

You can make a difference by donating in one of the following ways:

1. Mail us and include your details with your cheque or money order, or
2. Visit our offices in person – we are always glad to meet supporters.
