ECH Food Services was established in 1995 to provide a range of food service solutions to many areas of the community as well as ECH residential care centres.

ECH Food Services, situated at Kidman Park , produces fully prepared meals and meal components under strict HACCP controls.

Due to our large production capacity, ECH Food Services is able to provide meal components to other providers of catering services. We also provide meals and meal components to an increasing number of commercial organisations. With the capacity to produce up to 5,000 meals per day and meal components in up to 400 Kg batches, the kitchen produces meals and meal components that are delicious, nutritionally balanced, extremely appealing to the consumer and cost effective.

Our extensive range of chilled, cryovac packed and extended life food components provide the solution to operators who need to provide quality nutritious and safe meals when minimal qualified staff are available. As all our meal components are ready for immediate use, straight from the coolroom or refrigerator, a variety of simple regeneration methods can be used to quickly and safely heat the meals to correct temperature.

In addition, specific recipes and menus can be developed by our team of qualified chefs in close liaison with the client to achieve consistently high quality products, even when large quantities are required. Quality Assurance We have a comprehensive and fully documented food safety plan and management system in place which ensures that food production (including the procurement, receival, processing & packing) and the delivery procedures are monitored and documented by our comprehensive HACCP & ISO quality system, therefore guaranteeing Assured Food Safe meals every time.

ECH Food Services has been accredited to the requirements of AS/NZ IS0 9000:2000, Codex HACCP and GMP. Our premises and Quality Assurance documentation is regularly audited by SAI Global, the organisation authorised to award and audit this accreditation.

The ECH Food Services Quality Assurance program ensures that our menus meet the nutritional and physiological needs of our aged care residents in particular. We do this by involving the stakeholders in the menu planning process and have each menu reviewed for nutritional balance.
