ECH operates seven residential care centres throughout South Australia - Adelaide, Smithfield and Victor Harbor.
Our high and low care facilities (formerly known as Nursing Homes and Hostels) are located at:
The ECH philosophy recognises that ageing is a natural part of life. We provide care for residents based on each person’s strengths, and developing these to the optimum. This individualised approach enhances quality of life and maintains well-being, whilst meeting physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and social needs.
ECH has an ‘ageing in place’ policy, which means that as the resident’s health status changes, they can usually remain within the care centre of their choice and receive a higher level of care. ECH encourages consultation with and participation of residents, family and friends or representatives.
Each ECH residential care centre provides a range of services to residents. These include many lifestyle activities and programs to enable residents to feel valued and maintain links with their communities. We provide access to qualified nursing staff 24 hours a day and also arrange the services of allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, podiatrists, speech therapists and dieticians as well as the General Practitioners that visit regularly.
