ECH has 1650 independent living units in 97 sites across Adelaide and in regional areas. We have units in all metropolitan regions and in many suburbs.

Most ECH land for independent retirement living was purchased in the 1960’s and 70’s resulting in valuable inner-suburban locations that are now part of, and well serviced by, the surrounding established community – close to transport routes, shopping, recreational and medical complexes.

This often enables our residents to retire to a unit within the neighbourhood in which they have spent their lives – close to family, friends and other local associations developed over many years.

I think I need help to manage... unit property and site maintenance
ECH sites are looked after by a dedicated maintenance team that takes care of gardens, paths, roadways and all general site amenity. The maintenance fee paid by residents also covers maintenance both inside and outside the unit, repairs and upkeep of appliances and 24 hour emergency maintenance response.


I think I need help to manage... at home
ECH independent living unit residents can access our Independent Living Services (ILS) team for advice on managing at home and maintaining independence.


I want to see inside an ECH unit
ECH units are generally either one or two bedrooms and all new and refurbished units are well appointed, featuring contemporary décor and fittings.
