ECH, Enabling Confidence at Home has been recognised for the quality and safety of their retirement villages with the award of accreditation by Quality Innovation Performance Limited (QIP).
QIP is Australia’s most comprehensive not-for-profit accreditation organisation, dedicated to delivering accreditation and support services to a diverse range of organisations including retirement villages, physiotherapy villages, diagnostic imaging services, dental practices and community services.
“Accreditation is a major achievement and a clear demonstration that ECH is committed to providing their residents with access to high quality housing services,” Mr Gary Smith, Chair of QIP, said today.
“Striving to continually improve village facilities, village operations and processes within the village, residents can feel confident in knowing that their retirement village provider has met high levels of safety and quality and governance while ensuring positive resident outcomes are always a consideration. This should be commended, and QIP congratulates ECH on reaching this benchmark,” he said.
QIP retirement village accreditation is based on national standards that are set by the International Retirement Community Accreditation Scheme (IRCAS). IRCAS is made up of key leading aged care peak bodies who represent the interests of Australia’s ageing population.
To achieve an endorsement of accreditation, ECH has demonstrated that they meet all the requirements of the applicable IRCAS Standards (1-8) under the QIP Accreditation pathway for Australian retirement villages.
ECH Chief Executive, Dr David Panter said attaining accreditation was a strategic priority for ECH as it underpins the organisation’s commitment to providing quality retirement living housing to older South Australians.
“QIP accreditation shows ECH is committed to providing quality retirement village housing and services based on professional Standards,” he said. “As the largest independent provider of retirement village accommodation in South Australia, ECH is proud to attain the QIP accreditation across all our 105 villages”.
In addition to retirement housing, ECH offers a broad range of services that support people to remain living confidently and independently at home as they age.
