The health and safety of our clients, residents and staff continues to remain our highest priority. On that basis we are monitoring the situation with COVID-19 extremely closely and are continuing to follow the advice from SA Health and the Australian Government Department of Health and acting on their recommendations. To enable our staff to comply with the Australian Government’s decision to ban gathering of persons across a range of venues, including pub, clubs, indoor sporting venues and gyms we will be pausing our group exercise classes (including talk back groups) from midday Monday 23 March until further notice. You will still be able to book individual Allied Health appointments, however to help us all maintain physical distance measures, we kindly ask you to please refrain from bringing friends or family to the appointment unless absolutely required.

Maintaining your health and well-being is important and to help with this we are happy to work with you on the best way to deliver our wellness services in your home. We can also work with you to create a personalised home exercise program tailored to your needs, if you would like to find out more please call our team on 1300 275 324.

The Australian Department of Health has a list of translated resources on COVID-19 in the following languages: Arabic, Vietnamese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Farsi, Italian and Korean available here.

COTA SA and the Australian Department of Health have released some a fact sheet containing information and advice for older South Australians. The fact sheet outlines the COVID-19 facts and the measures you, your family and friends can take to protect older Australians. Click here to read more.

We are working with staff at all levels of our organisation to ensure they are fully aware of all the preventative measures and have access to the latest information and updates. SA Health have created a simple flow chart that helps to explain what to do in various situations, click here to view it.

Given the level of media coverage of COVID-19 and how often information is currently being updated ECH recommends checking the Australian Government Department of Health website for the most up to date information. Alternatively you can call the National Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080, phonelines are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, you can also visit or call 1800 022 222, again phone lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
