Five convenient locations

Could you do with a change of scenery? Perhaps you have been thinking about becoming more socially active, and you want to connect with likeminded people, pursue a new hobby or interest, or even share one of your own passions with other people.

Maybe you are being cared for at home and would enjoy some space and time to pursue your own interests, have new experiences and meet different people.

ECH Day Programs may be what you are looking for.

We work around you

Perhaps you are a carer and are looking for somewhere where the person you care for can go while you are at work, taking some quality time for yourself, or going out for the day with family or friends. Whatever your situation, taking time to reenergise and revitalise yourself both physically and mentally is important, and equally important is knowing that the person you care for will be looked after and will be able to engage in different activities that appeal to them.

We make it fun

There are many activities available such as playing cards or billiards, gardening, arts and crafts, sports and cooking, gentle exercise programs, music and dancing. There are also regular day trips and excursions to various destinations.  Local school children and other community members also regularly visit the Day Program centres. Day Program centres offer modern and comfortable homelike environments with space to engage socially with others, and also space where quiet alone time can be enjoyed.

Centre staff are experienced in ensuring that each individual’s interests and abilities are catered for and that many moments of joy are created throughout the day. They provide personalised attention to ensure activities are meaningful to each person. This is especially important for attendees who may be experiencing dementia or memory loss.

ECH Day Programs centres are conveniently located at four locations across the metropolitan area, and there is also one centre on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

ECH Day Programs run in centres from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays), and include various outings across the week. Attendees are provided with a nutritious lunch, morning and afternoon tea, and snacks.

ECH Henley Beach also offers an Evening Program, as well as an Overnight Respite Centre.

ECH Day Programs are offered on a competitive fee for service basis, however, if you are aged 65 years or over, you may qualify for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP), and you may be able to use some of this funding to access the ECH Day Programs.

Contact us today to arrange a tour of a centre, to make a booking*, or to learn more about ECH Day Programs and funding options that may be available.

*To ensure the appropriate number of staff are available at each centre, bookings are essential, however, every effort will be made to accommodate late or emergency bookings.
