ECH runs free information sessions at 10.30am on the second and fourth Wednesday, and evening sessions on the third Wednesday, of each month, excluding public holidays. Check here when the next information session takes place.
Information sessions cover the many benefits of retirement living and the services that would be available to you as a client of an ECH retirement village. These include assistance with the maintenance of your home, well tended village grounds, and resident-only access to the Independent Living Services team; who are on hand to provide you with information and support to assist you in living the best life possible.
You can find out more about the units in ECH retirement villages, including the layout and features of the units such as quality kitchens and bathrooms, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, and energy-efficient refrigerators and washing machines. The current availability of units will also be covered.

Resident Agreements, including contract and financial arrangements, will be explained, including the range of payment options available. You will leave the session with a good understanding of what you can expect if you decide to move into an ECH retirement village. You can be assured that the contracts are simple to read and there will never be any hidden fees.
You will also learn about the Retirement Villages Act that governs all retirement villages in South Australia, and how it would protect you should you decide to move into a retirement village.
The information sessions will also cover how to register your interest in retirement living with ECH, and how ECH can support you in moving into your new unit when you are ready to become a client of an ECH retirement village.
The information sessions will also highlight the many other services that ECH provides, including in home care such as assistance with ironing, housework and cooking, and Wellness and Social Programs, which include fitness programs, physiotherapy and massage. Details of ECH’s Overnight Respite Centre at Henley Beach will also be provided. These services are available to you, regardless of whether you reside in your existing home or in an ECH Village, on a privately funded basis, however, you may be eligible for financial subsidies and this will also be covered.
