Carrick Hill Estate Tour
Are you interested in local history? Join us for a visit to Carrick Hill Estate, one of the few period homes in Australia to survive.
Built between 1937 and 1939, Carrick Hill Estate was the home of Edward Hayward and Ursula Barr Smith, members of two prominent Adelaide families. The house still contains its original contents, and the beautiful grounds are almost completely intact.
11.30am – Meet onsite to take a walk around the magnificent gardens and grounds.
12.15pm – Enjoy a delicious lunch in the café together, at your own expense.
1.30pm – Participate in a guided tour of the building to explore its expansive history, artworks and furnishings.
Transport to Carrick Hill Estate is available by the ECH bus but spots are limited – please arrive by 11:30 is arranging personal transport.
Booking are essential, with limited numbers being available for both the guided tour and bus transport.
