What is the ECH Living Well Program?

The ECH Living Well Program helps you to get involved in different social activities. Your ECH Living Well Consultant will work with you to improve your overall wellbeing, physical and mental health through the provision of access to activities of interest to you. Activities could include:

• joining existing community groups e.g. at your local community centre
• attending social events e.g. lunch clubs, bus trips, movie outings
• volunteering
• joining an exercise group etc

Getting involved

If you would like to get involved or find out more about the ECH Living Well Program, call 1300 275 324 and ask to speak to an ECH Living Well Consultant.

Reconnecting Maureen to her community

Maureen has faced a challenging few years, and after a stay at Modbury Hospital last year was referred to ECH Living Well Consultant Jenny, who links people with an activity that helps improve wellbeing and their physical and mental health.

Knowing Maureen loved cooking in the past, Jenny found a baking group nearby at the Wandana Community Centre.

“I did enjoy it. It’s a different atmosphere when you get there. I’m thankful for Jenny’s help and encouraging me to take part” says Maureen.

Maureen’s sister, Diana, who also cares for her, loved the fact she was socialising with others again. “She has really enjoyed it, and slowly she has felt a bit more confident to be involved and communicate with people,” Diana says.
