Lunch on the Lawns at Government House
Experience an extraordinary opportunity to visit the official residence of the Governor of South Australia at this special community event. Meet Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, her husband Mr. Rod Bunten, and their friendly dog Alfie while enjoying a delightful picnic on the historic grounds of Government House.
Explore the magnificent gardens with a free guided tour by the Friends of the Botanic Gardens, discovering the property’s fascinating history, the oldest tree on the grounds, and an interactive experience in the sensory garden. Stroll through the Governor’s Rose Garden, where each rose is dedicated to a past Governor, and see what’s currently thriving in the estate’s vegetable gardens.
