Our Exercise Physiologists are not only highly trained professionals accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), they are also equipped with the skills and knowledge to support people with diverse health needs.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic conditions, recovering from surgery or an injury, or simply aiming to maintain your independence and live life to the fullest, our Fitness & Therapeutic Exercise programs are designed with your success in mind.

After an initial consultation, our Exercise Physiologist will create a tailored program, in line with your medical needs and goals. They will provide support throughout your program and reassess your progress, ensuring you can achieve the best possible outcomes for your health and wellbeing.

ECH support and services.

Our Exercise Physiologists provide tailored support and a range of services including:

  • Assistance in managing health conditions: We work with you to form an exercise plan to manage symptoms and improve mobility for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, diabetes, and chronic back pain.
  • Neuromuscular Exercise Therapy: Supportive therapies for conditions like multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease.
  • Diabetes Management: Exercise routines aimed at regulating blood sugar levels.
  • Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Specialised programs following hip or knee replacements.
  • Health and Wellness: Tailored sessions for improving strength, balance, and overall wellness.

Our team collaborates closely with your GP and other health professionals to ensure that your plan aligns with your medical requirements, ensuring safe and positive outcomes.

Depending on your needs, our professional team create tailored programs that can combine a range of different activities. Options include:

  • Individual Workout Plans: Home or gym-based exercises specifically designed for you.
  • Rehabilitation Programs: Support for recovery from surgery or injury.
  • Social activities: Walking Groups and Walking Footy are great ways to increase general fitness and ease back into exercise, all while having fun and spending time with like-minded people.

  • If you have specific health concerns, are recovering from surgery, or want to improve your physical condition, an Exercise Physiologist can provide tailored support to help you achieve your goals.

  • If you have a chronic health condition, you may be able to access ECH Exercise Physiology services under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS). Please consult your GP for more information.

  • Yes, individuals aged 65 and over may use their Support at Home program funding to access ECH Wellness Services, including Exercise Physiology. See more about our assistance with this process here. Services are also available on a self-funded basis.

Accessing ECH Wellness Services.

ECH Wellness services are available to everyone, with options for self-funding, private health insurance rebates, and for those aged 65 years and over either the Support at Home program or the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.

If you have a chronic health condition, you may also be able to access our dietetic services through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).
