Our ECH Physiotherapists are qualified health professionals and are experienced in working with people at all stages of life. They are passionate about empowering you to live the way you want for as long as possible. Physiotherapy can allow you to maintain your independence by overcoming physical limitations caused by stroke, heart attack, Multiple Sclerosis or other conditions.

Our Physiotherapists can also support you in regaining strength and mobility following a fall or injury, surgery, or simply to assist you with navigating those everyday aches and pains.

Move toward your goals.

Our highly experienced Physiotherapists will support you in your journey toward recovery and maintaining your physical health.

These services are about providing the support you need for the things you want to do and preventative care to keep you safe. Your Physiotherapist will assess a range of factors; your current health, mobility, balance, movement, pain, cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal function, as well as your lifestyle to create a care plan to get you closer to your goals.

Individualised plans.

We also develop individualised treatment plans for a variety of medical conditions, including:

  • Neurological disorders from stroke or Parkinson’s
  • Cardiopulmonary diseases such as COPD or heart failure
  • Issues resulting from joint replacements or Arthritis
  • Falls prevention

As care plans are holistic and entirely personal, they look different for everyone. Your plan could include an exercise program that improves your strength and movement or regular therapeutic massages that relieve stress and tight muscles.

If necessary, your Physiotherapist can also work with your GP or other specialists to further support your journey. You do not need a referral from your doctor to access these services.

Funding options.

No matter your age, Physiotherapy services are available to you on a self-funded basis.

If you are 65 or over, you may qualify for government funding – through either the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or the Support at Home program – and you may be able to use some of this funding to access this service.
