ECH Wellness Centres offer a welcoming environment and a team of specialists who can tailor a program that will help you achieve your lifestyle goals.
Whether you have lived in your home for decades or only a short while, your home symbolises your independence and ability to choose where and how you want to live.
ECH offers a range of at-home and site-based respite services that enable you to confidently take a break for a few hours or even a few days thanks to the ECH Care Hotel.
Are you thinking about downsizing? Is it time to hand over your home and garden maintenance and stop worrying about having to pay council rates, water rates and building insurance?
Ask ECH about navigating the aged care system.
Whilst we recognise the benefits of pets for older people, the pet friendliness status of our villages does vary. Some villages are endorsed as ‘pet friendly’ and may accommodate a dog or an indoor cat. Some are endorsed for indoor cats only and some are not pet friendly.
It is necessary to obtain approval from ECH prior to moving in as not all units are pet suitable. The approval process considers whether your village has been endorsed to accommodate pets or not, the age and temperament of the animal. You will also be required to complete a pet assessment (at your own cost).
You are welcome to have an occasional overnight or weekend visitor stay in your home.
In any other circumstance, please speak with us about obtaining permission from ECH which may be subject to conditions.
ECH provides holiday properties in the Adelaide CBD, Ardrossan and Victor Harbor which are available to ECH residents. If you are interested in staying at an ECH holiday property, please call ECH on 8159 4747.
Approved alterations and additions can be made to your home. There is a process in place that needs to be followed prior to any works to ensure the integrity and aesthetic qualities of the property and village remain and that works are carried out in a safe manner.
ECH villages have restricted parking. ECH do have caravan and boat parking at ECH Rotary Village in Modbury. However, this is limited and approval from ECH will be needed.
Your property does have to be your main place of residence. One of the advantages of living in a retirement village is that your neighbours and community look out for each other. If you are going away for an extended period, you will need to inform ECH so we can gain permission to enter if any maintenance is required and that we know you are not there.
ECH encourages residents to try and negotiate a resolution amongst themselves. However, ECH does have a dispute resolution policy that can be applied if needed.
ECH have Resident Liaison Officers who can assist residents with wellbeing support. They can help to guide and provide information on My Aged Care, receiving services to help you at home, linking residents into community programs and much more.
In the first instance, ECH will try and support you to receive services so you can stay at home. If this is not suitable, ECH Resident Liaison Officers can assist with information on residential care.
When you have signed your contract for an ECH property, you are given 90 days to move in.
ECH residents are protected under The Retirement Villages Act (2016) and Retirement Villages Regulations (2017) describe the rights and statutory obligations of retirement village operators and residents.
